Poem of the Week Rhythm and Beat of Sexuality Teresa Ballard (Treezaa)
carve for me a drum shape for me a tune in young oak upon bones hollow space clean of meat laid still marrow, shaped wide tendons stripped smooth touch and dried carve for me a drum shape for me a tune pull hide taut on solid frame across mouth hold weight press lips to skin unable to murmur-hum bend, sway test sound stay firm carve for me a drum shape for me a tune weave in and out small holes sinew-wet blown clean pull ends gentle breath damp - smooth rest, begin release, tie to string carve for me a drum shape for me a tune wait to play shape for me a tune wait to play and pull till I stand tight, clear straight vibrations firm to beat play, O carve drum play for me
